This is your band everyone is going to be talking about in 2018. Blogs are a great way to connect with your audience and keep them coming back. thats why we had an interview with Static Personality They position yourself as an authority,
yours strongly.
Hello, here are the answers to your questions.
William Smith
We started by me and my good friend Filip meeting at Uni and we ended up living together via our good friend Ali introducing us. We then bonded over Bowie and alot of music together and had very similar tastes and went to lots of gigs and stuff. I had been writing lyrics and poetry for ages and he had a guitar in Poland, he got it sent over and then one night we covered Television Personalities and that was it we made it our goal to start some sort of a band, we then went to a Hotel Lux gig like 5 days after and found Dylan (our drummer) who lived close in Risbourough and bam the rest the history, all happened very fast.
We are based in High Wycombe
Well alot of the time we will just look at the world and what is around us and thats what we write about Filip or I will come up an idea for a song and write about it. However in other songs its just my lyrics/Poetry over the top. But yeah each song has its own origins and storys behind it
We are just grinding away, playing as many gigs as possible, gaining a fan or two along the way. To our main goal of eventually one day playing Scala.
Our gear is simple as hell, we are drums 'mr dylan shellard', guitar 'filip wasilewski' who uses his guitar named mick, and me i cant play shit i just scream and shout
Sitting in spoons and watching people, and the world glide by
Our genre is alot of influences, but id say like ramshackle shouty dancey dirty indie post punk with hint of class as a side dish
We are music theory.
Plans for the future is to just keep doing what im doing, and hope something falls into place.
Got into music by listening to it at a young age, just finding out different cultures and different genres and falling in love with it as an emotion level and a mind numbing level too i guess
Listen to alot of new stuff tbh but on the top of my head is Palma Violets, Shame, The Fall, Peeping Drexels, Hotel Lux. But as a band we mainly follow the London music scene, which we are trying to become a part of.
5 influences is quite possibly the hardest thing to answer from my perspective.
But I would say The Streets, Pixies, Billy Bragg, Ian Curtis and Stereophonics but these influences are constantly changing and will probably change by tommorow.
Filips are Jack White, Led Zeppelin, Bowie, Robert Smith and a cheeky bit of Micheal Jackson
Dylans are Miles Davis, Kendrick Lamar, Thundercat, Skepta and early Genesis (among a great deal of others)
Well we are playing on Friday at Boondocks lol.
